FOOD RESOURCES
Connecticut Foodshare: Get Help | Connecticut Foodshare. Here you will find a mobile pantry schedule as well as a Food Pantry locator. They also offer SNAP Outreach and food and recipe resources.
Connecticut SNAP Benefits (Previously Food Stamps): Food Assistance – SNAP (ct.gov). The supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program give people in CT help to buy food.

Child and family care
Care 4 Kids: CT Care 4 Kids – Connecticut Office of Early Childhood. Care 4 Kids helps low to moderate income families in CT pay for childcare costs.
Connecticut Wic Program: WIC (ct.gov). WIC provides supplemental food, health care referrals, nutrition education and breastfeeding promotion and support to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women and to infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.
HOUSIng and utilites resources
Energy Assistance in CT: Energy Assistance – Crisis Assistance Program (ct.gov). Subject to the availability of funds, the state will implement a Crisis Assistance Program to address the heating needs of service recipient households who have exhausted their CEAP Basic Benefits and are unable to secure primary heat.
HEALTHCARE RESOURCES
Connecticut Department on Aging and Disability Services (ADS): Here you can apply for many different types of services, including:
- The Connecticut Statewide Respite Care Program: Offers support and other services for caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s Disease or related Dementias. You can reach them at 1.800.994.9422.
- Independent Living Program: Provides independent living services to persons with significant disabilities. Visit cacil.net or call (203) 378-6977.
- Bureau for Education and Services for the Blind: provides a full range of educational, independent living and vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with significant vision loss or blindness. Call 860-602-4108 for more information.
